WOMEN’S VOICES AND GAZES REFLECT ON A FRESCO
ISREC and GAMeC for Holocaust Remembrance Day

Guided tour for adults
Casa della Libertà, Bergamo

ISREC Director Elisabetta Ruffini and GAMeC educator Laura Benzoni will guide the public on a tour exploring the installation Sulla pelle della memoria (On the Skin of Memory), created by ISREC at the Casa della Libertà.
The voice and perspective of Charlotte Delbo and other women writers—survivors of deportation or witnesses to it—are brought into dialogue with the large fresco by Antonio Santagata in the building’s atrium: a shared journey that goes beyond the passive transmission of the past and invites a critical and conscious reading of the heritage of memory.

The event is part of the calendar coordinated by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Bergamo for the 2026 Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorations

WANDERING BODIES
Workshop for adults
GAMeC

The workshop, led by museum educator Clara Luiselli, offers a path of movement exploration in which the body becomes a tool for connection, listening, and shared creation. The work Bergamo (15 parts) by Rachel Whiteread provides a visual and conceptual stimulus that guides participants on a journey made of gestures, postures, and collective dynamics. Through the dialogue between different bodies — unique, imperfect, steady or in transformation — the group builds a wandering, participatory dance.
The activity is intended for adults (16 and over) with an interest in dance and movement, as well as anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of contemporary art by experiencing a collective and inclusive creative process.
