A collaboration among Fondazione Teatro Donizetti, GAMeC, and Sea Shepherd Italia
On the occasion of the staging of Gaetano Donizetti’s Il diluvio universale (The Great Flood), part of the Donizetti Opera Festival 2023 calendar, GAMeC – a project partner on the occasion of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture – is hosting a conversation between Andrea Morello, President of Sea Shepherd Italia, MASBEDO (Nicolò Massazza and Iacopo Bedogni), authors of the direction and costumes, Francesco Micheli, Artistic Director of the Donizetti Opera Festival, and Lorenzo Giusti, Director of GAMeC.
Beginning with Sea Shepherd’s experience and an account of the dramaturgy of Donizetti’s opera, the conversation will interrogate cultural policies in support of the ecological battle and the actions deployed by artists and institutions.
