Philosopher of science and evolutionist Telmo Pievani, President of the BergamoScienza Scientific Committee, and Juan Carlos De Martin, Professor of Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, will discuss the future of education in relation to new technologies and Artificial Intelligence, which is reshaping the boundaries of knowledge and whose dissemination and control highlight profound power asymmetries.
In this context, the debate focuses on the possibility of transforming algorithms into tools for empowerment and freedom, on the issue of the inclusion of the more than two billion people who still live offline, and on the role of education in returning control of technology to communities, rather than them being subject to it.
