Radio GAMeC emerged in 2020 during the healthcare emergency via the museum’s social media channels, and was recognized by UNESCO as one of the best museum initiatives in the world to emerge during the lockdown.

After 66 live appointments on Instagram, the success of the five evenings of Radio GAMeC Real Live, the 16 episodes on board the camper of Radio GAMeC PopUp together with Radio Popolare and the rich schedule of daily appointments that have accompanied listeners for two months with Radio GAMeC on Clubhouse, in 2022 the new season of the project Radio GAMeC 30 was presented, on the occasion of the GAMeC’s 30th anniversary.

Starting from the point of view of personalities from the world of art and culture who have lived through the experiences of the last three decades first hand, with the aim of recounting aspects of a complex and changing reality, Radio GAMeC 30 proposes a journey in stages, guided by director Lorenzo Giusti and curator Ilaria Gianni. A narrative marked by events that, for historical-political, technical-scientific, social or environmental reasons, have represented the opening of a new path or a fracture in a common path.

The project has been enriched with a series of new podcasts that expand the narrative focus of the project: the step-by-step journey will continue in the upcoming weeks through the stories of international artists who have lived firsthand experiences related to significant events from 1989 to 2024.
